Norwalk Man Caught Dealing Cocaine On City Streets, Police Say

A Fairfield County man was busted for allegedly dealing cocaine on city streets after police received numerous complaints.

Christopher Adams, age 56, of Norwalk, was arrested on Thursday, Aug. 31 in Norwalk.

Adams was caught after officers received numerous complaints from residents regarding drug dealing in the area of Prospect Street, said Lt. Tomasz Podgorski, of the Norwalk Police.

Following the complaints, investigators of the Special Services Unit began conducting narcotics-related surveillance in the area of Prospect Street.

During the course of the surveillance, investigators observed Adams selling narcotics in front of 41 Prospect St. 

Investigators arrested Adams and obtained a search and seizure warrant for his home. As a result of the search warrant, agents seized the following evidence:

  • 26 grams of powder cocaine
  • Cutting agents
  • Scales
  • Drug paraphernalia
  • US currency

"We wish to thank the members of the community who provided information and tips about the criminal activity occurring in this area," Podgorski said.

He was charged with:

  • Two counts of possession of narcotics
  • Sale of narcotics
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of narcotics with intent to sell

This investigation is currently ongoing.

Adams is being held on a $30,000 bond.
